OK Edits - Blender Point-Cloud Animator v1.2
Want to make Point Cloud Animations in Blender but don't want to mess around with geometry nodes? Then this Node Group is for you!
This Node Group allows you to animate point clouds with ease in the Modifier Properties in Blender, without having to set up all the geometry nodes yourself. Saving you time and allowing you to get straight into creating!
OK Edits Point-Cloud Animator allows you to change:
- Radius of spheres
- Noise Scale
- Noise Detail
- Noise Roughness
- Noise Distortion
- Noise Strength
- Localised Noise to an Empty
- "From Max" change the radius of proximity
- Speed of Noise
- More to come!
Every new version will be a free upgrade for customers.
*Note: If you want to import .ply files you will have to install This PLY Importer into your Blender.
How to use:
Open blender, Import your point cloud,
Go to file -> append -> locate the "OK Edits - Point Cloud Animator.blend" file -> Node Tree ->OK Edits - Point Cloud Animator Main,
Click append, Select your point cloud, go to the modifier properties, add modifier, Geometry nodes, click the icon next to new, select 0 OK Edits - Point Cloud Animator Main
Make sure you change your renderer to Cycles and go to Rendered view to see point cloud.

To use this simply append the "OK Edits - Point Cloud Animator Main v1.1(VENOM)" and connect an empty object to the target on the modifier tab. Now you can play around with the Radius Control sliders and animate the empty along your point cloud.
Included a Venom shader, just connect the principled BSDF in the shader editor.
